Gameweek 8 is still in progress, with five fixtures played and five to come on Sunday 25 October, and the price market has moved again after Saturday’s matches. Seven players have risen by £0.1m in this gameweek and 24 have fallen by £0.1m, according to official FPL data. Nicolas Jackson and Declan Rice are the two new risers since the morning update.

FPL Gameweek 8 price changes chart showing seven risers led by Jackson and Tavernier and top fallers led by Saka

Jackson and Rice join the risers

Jackson scored twice for Aston Villa in their 2-1 win over Manchester City on Saturday and finished the match with 13 points. Managers have reacted at a scale not seen earlier in the gameweek. He has 191,818 transfers in during Gameweek 8, more than any other player, against only 1,658 transfers out. His price is now £6.7m, his ownership is 5.9% and his total is 34 points, with form of 8.0.

Rice is the other new name on the risers list. Arsenal beat Everton 2-0 on Saturday and Rice now has 39 points. He has 24,893 transfers in during the gameweek and 3,749 out, and his price is £7.4m with ownership of 12.3%. The full price picture is also tracked on the FPL Hub price changes section, which still showed five risers at its last update. The official figures above are fresher and are the ones used here.

The change since this morning matters for context. The earlier Gameweek 8 live transfer update listed five risers and far smaller transfer totals. Saturday’s results have added Jackson and Rice, and Tavernier’s transfers in have risen from 30,762 to 102,745.

The seven risers in full

Every riser has moved by £0.1m in Gameweek 8. Tavernier is at £6.3m with 42 points and ownership of 14.3%. Evanilson, his Bournemouth team mate, is at £6.2m with 37 points, ownership of 6.2% and 33,956 transfers in. Kostoulas is at £5.8m with 41 points and ownership of 10.4%, though his market is split, with 23,161 in and 12,598 out.

Neto is at £6.6m with 37 points, form of 7.7 and ownership of 3.7%. Raya is at £6.2m with 49 points, the highest total among the seven, and ownership of 45.5%. He kept a clean sheet in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Everton and finished with 7 points. Jackson at £6.7m and Rice at £7.4m complete the list.

Bournemouth have two risers and they play at Manchester United on Sunday, so their totals could move again before the gameweek ends. Arsenal also have two risers, plus the gameweek’s top scorer so far in Gabriel, who scored 16 points against Everton.

24 fallers, led by Saka

Saka leads the fallers by a clear margin. He has 86,792 transfers out during Gameweek 8 and only 102 in. His price is £9.5m, his ownership has fallen to 9.7% and official FPL data lists him at 0% chance of playing with a thigh injury and no return date. Szoboszlai is next with 51,828 out. He is £6.7m, at 0% with a hamstring injury. Semenyo has 50,328 out, is £8.2m and is also at 0%, with a knee injury.

Gonzalo has 44,246 out and is now £6.0m. Bruno Fernandes has 41,759 out, 2,351 in and is now £11.7m with 33 points. Other fallers with sizeable ownership include Shaw at £4.2m, James at £5.2m and Emersonn at £5.5m. In total 24 players have fallen in this gameweek, each by £0.1m. The full list and the current prices are on the official FPL site.

Some of Saturday’s team news helps explain the selling. The Gameweek 8 live team news update covered Calafiori starting on the bench for Arsenal and Joao Pedro not starting for Chelsea. Calafiori has 36,604 transfers out in the gameweek and Joao Pedro has 53,420 out, but neither player’s price has fallen in this gameweek.

Close to the next move

Konsa is the closest to a rise among players who have not moved yet. He scored in Arsenal’s win over Everton and has 48,868 transfers in during Gameweek 8 against 2,231 out. His price is still £4.6m, his total is 39 points and his ownership is 19.1%.

Gabriel has 25,860 in and 5,350 out at £7.9m with 52 points. Gross has 37,883 in at £6.2m with 58 points. De Cuyper has 34,011 in at £5.3m with 59 points, the highest total in the game.

On the other side, Calvert-Lewin has 72,888 transfers out, the second highest total in the gameweek, but his price is still £6.1m. Cherki has a split market, 47,044 in and 58,263 out at £8.0m. Price changes depend on the balance of moves, so a high total out does not on its own mean a fall has already happened.

What happens next

Gameweek 8 finishes on Sunday 25 October with Crystal Palace at home to Newcastle, Hull City at home to Brentford, Liverpool at home to Brighton, Manchester United at home to Bournemouth and Sunderland at home to Leeds. Further price changes can follow those matches, in particular for Bournemouth, Brighton and Liverpool players.

The Gameweek 9 deadline is Saturday 31 October at 11:00 GMT. Managers who want Jackson at £6.7m or Rice at £7.4m now have those prices confirmed in official FPL data. Managers holding Saka, Szoboszlai or Semenyo, all at 0% with no return date in official data, have already lost £0.1m on each player in this gameweek.
